I Had The Honor Of Working With Steve Yzerman On A Condo High Rise Transaction
In the Summer of 2016, I listed a stunning corner unit condo at the Bellamy, on Bayshore Blvd. Soon we started showing this luxury 3,316 sqft condo.
One day, I went to turn on all the lights & open the blinds ready to sell the dream. I went to meet a potential buyer in the lobby & low and behold the buyer was the Legendary Hockey player & our General Manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning!
I took Steve up the elevator, showed him the private entrance into the stunning condo. After looking at the amazing views, the kitchen & bedrooms, I asked Steve if he had time to see the pool & some other amenities. Buyers that are interested in seeing the “extras” are typically serious about buying the property. Good Realtors always have a few tricks to help influence the process.
I ended up showing him the theater, gym, locker rooms, offices, spa, library & more. After we were done, Steve paid me one of the nicest compliments. “I’m really impressed you took the time to show me everything.” Here’s a guy that coaches elite athletes who has accomplished a lot and expects a lot. He genuinely felt like I went above and beyond his expectations.
He was impressed that I showed him the entire building & all the amenities, not just the condo. He said no other Realtor took the extra time to show the entire building. I was so moved & honored to receive his kind words. Steve is a professional in his field and recognized I’m a professional in mine.
Steve & his wife Lisa ended up buying the Condo! Sometimes it’s the little things that make the big things happen.
It’s always fun to work with a celebrity, but my true joy comes from listing, showing, and selling homes. I think I was more excited about the theater, gym, offices, spa, and amenities than the fact that I was working with Steve Yzerman.
