If you can’t laugh at yourself, what’s the point. So, here are 21 one of my funniest, sometimes embarrassing, and awkward moments. It’s okay to laugh. And please comment on which one you found to be the most unbelievable!
1. Went to the Pinellas County Jail to have a seller sign his listing paperwork
2. Opened a front door, to then be chased by a Dombermann Pinscher, to the roof of my car!
3. Find some towels for a buyer that fell into a Pool, during our showing!
4. Showing a Duplex, to find the Albino Python Snake got out of his cage, & may be in the yard.
5. Went to the hospital to have a 'Mother to be" in labor, sign her closing papers, to close.
6. Took a 180 lb Great Dane for a walk, when it then took me for a run, so my buyer could see the house. (She was afraid of the dog).
7. Put out a fire, because a Seller of a house left a candle burning, for a nice scent.
8. Clean up a big pile of dog poop from a Large Standard Poodle, before a showing.
9. Open the front door to here a shower running (Yes the showing appt was made)
10. Showing a home, to find a sleeping teenager in bed. (Yes the showing was scheduled)
11. Showing a home, & the buyer's foot goes through the floor!
12. Helping my client clean the "land mine" dog poop off her shoes, from the backyard
13. Changing a flat tire for my client
14. Showing a home, & the pet tarantula is out of its cage
15. Showing a home, open the bedroom closet door, to have a man jump out & then run out a window.
16. Went to do a final walk through with buyers, to find a squatter has been living in the vacant home.
17. Showing homes, to find a 'Floater" left behind in the toilet!
18. Driving a client around, showing properties, & a little old lady pulls out & hit the back side of my car.
19. Asking a client to disassemble and remove a hydroponic system. They weren’t growing tomatoes.
20. Went to walk through a home the day before closing to find a water leak & about 8 inches of water inside the house! Thank God this was a tear-down home!
21. Showing a Brand New Davis Islands Townhome, we were on the rooftop, the elevator decided Not to work, so I climbed down the fire escape, & eventually fixed the elevator, so my clients could get back down.
The crazy part is… I’m just scratching the surface. After 36-years, I’ve seen a thing or two.
